Boreal Botany – Plant Pressing Workshop with Braidi Locke
Discover the incredible flora of northern Alberta! Join us at the Nine-Mile Recreation Area for an immersive, hands-on workshop covering plant identification, ethical foraging, and traditional plant pressing techniques.
We’ll start with the basics of local plant identification and respectful foraging principles before heading out on a guided forest walk to observe and gather plant specimens. Afterward, you’ll learn how a plant press operates and build your own pressed botanical samples. All plant presses and pressing materials are provided for the session.
